  1. ^This is something that I hope to achieve when everything is in place. That being said if there are only 3 cops on I'm going to show up regardless that Im SWAT.
  2. I tested yesterday. And driving from the police HQ to the northern most store, not the bank, takes 8 minutes to drive. Now, I can say that's driving recklessly with hitting 1 car and spinning out. So a actual 5 minute timer on a storweekend robbery wouldn't actually be a bad idea because there is typically someone outside the city at any time anyway. I would more like to see is the number of stores being able to be robbed at once be decreased so there aren't 4 stores being robbed as soon as 3 cops log in like what has happened. Also a cool down between stores. Something like if you rob store A, then no other store can be robbed for 5 minutes so it give officers a chance to return to the city. But I'm trying remain neutral and find a middle ground that allowshe both a chance for criminals to escape but also a chance for cops to actually get there in time to at minimum see a car speeding away either via ground units or the helicopter.
  3. After 2 weeks with nobody reaching out to me after completing my interview I would like to withdraw my application.
  4. Merely a suggestion/request. Whenever the dev team decides its something they can work on great. Until then, it can sit here.
  5. I think @Rof Cast may be on to something.

  7. Do you understand you must be a civilian on the island before applying for the EMS department? Yes Do you understand you must have 2 weeks of experience on the island before applying for the EMS department? Yes First Name: David Last Name:Saltsider Date of Birth (Real Life): 02/1993 Current Age (Real Life):24 Social Security Number(Steam ID): 76561198050168426 Current Location and Timezone (Real Life): Oklahoma, US CST Give us a brief description about yourself. (150 Words) (Real Life) Im 24 years old currently in school full time for a bachelors in Fire Science in the hopes to become a career firefighter. I am also currently enrolled to get my EMT-Basic certification again. When I'm not in school I volunteer my spare time not devoted to work or school to volunteer at my local Volunteer Fire Department where I currently hold the rank of Lieutenant and have been there for seven years. I work full time for my County Sheriff's department as a certified detention officer for five years to pay bills and allow for some more desirable stuff. I am a avid airsoft player and travel the entire US playing national Military Simulation events from coast to coast. I do all this while struggling through a multitude of mental disabilities and physical limitations for the sole reason that I like to help people in what ever way i can. Why do you want to join the EMS Department? (150 Words)(IC) I wish to join the Emergency Medical Services because I have always had the need to help people. After spending the last six years at the Sheriff's Department, I was able to see some of the horrific travesties that have plagued our great county. I have had to hold the hand of a dying individual and tell them that everything will be ok even though nobody from EMS was coming. Having to watch so many people take their last breath and not be able to do a thing about it has torn so many pieces of my soul out that I felt like this would be the best way to help me put a little bit back together. Not just for my sake, but for the number of members of this county that have had to watch their friend of loved one pass in front of their eyes because nobody was coming. What qualities do you possess that would help you working as EMS? (100 Words)(IC) The qualities that I possess that would help EMS would be my desire to help the department grow and flourish with the county. My time in a supervisory position within the Erie County Sheriff's department has shown me what it takes to be a strong leader. I can bring trust, honesty, and a fair system of judgement which is something that I felt was lacking in my previous employers. I want to bring these things along with a hard-working attitude and the desire to bring the Erie County EMS back to its former glory. And I will do this with every fiber of my being. What is your greatest failure and what did you learn from it? (50 words)(IC) My single greatest failure was that I made a bad decision on a tactical plan during a bank robbery. My decision caused the death of 6 deputies in the course of a few minutes. I spent sleepless nights going over everything that was done and the results, drinking my soul away to no avail. It took me awhile to realize that there was nothing I could do to change the past and I need to take this, learn from it, and move on. As angry as I felt I remembered that people still need me to be there and to do what is right, because it is right and not make a decision based on my personal feelings Do you have any experience with being a EMS/Medic? (Rank/Where)(IC) No Can you communicate properly using the English language? Yes Do you intend to eventually pursue a career within the other departments? (Dishonesty will impact the difficulty of transition to department of choice): I spend a long time within the SD and have no desire to return. I (David Saltsider), hereby authorize Erie County Fire and EMS to conduct a criminal background and DMV check. In connection with this, I also authorize the use of the Erie County Sheriff's Department to assist the Erie County Fire and EMS in collecting and verifying such information. I am also aware that records of arrests on pending charges and/or convictions are not an absolute bar to employment, as it is at the discretion of the EMS command.
  8. What is your roleplaying name? David Saltsider How old are you? 23 What interested you in becoming a Support Team Member? (150 words) I have been a member of this community for about five months now and I see just how hard everyone in a staff role works to keep the community moving forward. I sit in Teamspeak for hours reaping the benefits that the community has to offer and I feel like it is time for me to start giving back. I wish to assist in whatever I can to help the new members in joining the community and to assist current individuals with any issues that may arise. I may not be the most tech savvy person around but my day job has given the ability to be patient and understanding of issues and to assist in figuring out a solution to an issue. In closing, I feel like me becoming a support member will help me fulfill my undying desire to help people in whatever issues that they may have. How can you benefit the community and the Support Team? (150 words) I am around almost all day. I spend upwards of seven to ten hours in Teamspeak on a daily basis. With this amount of time on Teamspeak and the hours that I am on there is typically very little staff on so I would be able to help fill in the gap. I am always available except while conducting my fire department business but will always answer messages as soon as possible. My day job requires me to interview 50 - 75 individuals a day and determine if they are being truthful in their applications for a court appointed attorney and I believe that the skills that I have acquired will benefit in this position. I follow a strict code of being Firm, Fair, and consistent with whatever I do while being in accordance to procedure. As stated prior, I am a very patient and understanding individual and always look at a situation or person with a open mind to be able to see the whole picture. Do you have any past experience within any staff role? (Which communities? Role?) I have been a Forum Moderator for the 101st Airborne Division Tactical Realism Unit (2009-2011) Give us a basic insight to your daily life? (Your hobbies, etc., no word count) I work as a court Liaison for my county Sheriff's Department ensuring those in custody of the Jail are interviewed and have been appointed a Public Defender if they can not afford to hire a Attorney. Outside of work I mainly sit around on my computer. I am also a volunteer fireman holding the rank of Lieutenant and have been a member for about 6 years now. I also travel around the United States participating in Military Simulation Airsoft events. How many hours per week are you willing to dedicate to the Support Team and your duties? I am on Teamspeak whenever I am at my computer regardless if im doing OrgoByte activities or not so I can dedicate 25+ hours a week. Any additional information we should know about — for example, hearing impairment, etc.? I have a severe stutter whenever I talk for long periods of time. What is your primary purpose in the Support Team, e.g., are you here to move up the chain of command? I'm on Teamspeak for the majority of my day and I felt like this would be a good way to take up some of my free time. Agreements Do you understand that as a Support Team you represent the community and anything you may do can negatively impact the community? Yes I do Do you understand that you are to follow the Chain of Command to a further extent given your new position of power? Yes I do Do you understand that your Head of Support & Assistant Head of Support have the right to remove you at any given time? Yes I do Do you understand that your role as a Support Team Member isn’t to be taken lightly as your role is just as important as any other staff? Yes I do Do you agree that you have read and understood all of the above? Additionally, are you aware of your duties and are willing to uphold the responsibilities if you were accepted? Yes I do ----------------------------------------------------------------

David Saltsider Time/Date Completed: 11/02/2016 1930 CST Strong Points(What is the ride-along good at?): Was very charismatic and talkative during my time with him. Weak Points(What is the ride-along bad at?): He did not ask many questions during the time with him even after suggesting things to talk about relating to the job. Wasn't the most professional as he was joking and laughing the whole time and kept referring to me on a first name basis. Additional Information: Tommy Bowman is Zachary Bowman's brother. Also, Tommy Bowman spent the first 15-20 minutes with Lt. Kellner prior to me taking him. Do you believe this ride-along is a good candidate for Erie County Sheriff's Department? (Y/N) Unsure at this time. Like this
  12. Please understand that most of the Deputies that you see are "Special Deputies" and are still going through training. They are doubled up so there typically is not as many roaming around as you might think. The reason they appear to be everywhere comes back to Supervisors and Dispatch putting people is areas to maximize patrol coverage and to limit the response time. Also, with so many in the academy, there tends to be a high number on cause we try to do as many as we can at once so we are not teaching the same thing 6 times a day which limits what FTO/Supervisors can go do because they are conducting training all the time. This however.....is the greatest thing I have read today
  13. Dear Mr. Caruso, Congratulations! You have been accepted into the Erie County Sheriff's Department. Please check your mailbox for hiring information/training schedule. Kind regards,
